Mickey Rourke Scary No More on The Good Surgeon Guide

It looks like Hollywood actor and Oscar nominee Mickey Rourke is finally as serious about his appearance as he is about his acting career. Coming off a successful opening of his new movie “Immortals,” Rourke is looking a lot less plastic and a lot softer these days. This professional boxer turned actor has undergone drastic plastic surgery over the years that we were shocked to see him looking -- well, normal.

After quitting his boxing career and entering into a life of acting, Rourke became a notorious example of bad plastic surgery. Over the years he’s had several procedures, including at least one overly tight facelift, possible chin, cheek and lower lip implants and possible multiple nose jobs. Most of the procedures were done in part to correct scars and damage done from years of boxing.

Apparently tired of being the butt of celebrity plastic surgery gone wrong, Rourke has finally found the perfect procedure:  Sculptra. Celebrity reports cite that the 59-year-old actor has finally found a plastic surgeon who has transformed Rourke to look a little less scary and harsh by using fillers like sculptra and restylane.

It works by injecting a filler into the skin which then stimulates the production of collagen. This helps smooth out wrinkles “naturally” and make the face volume within the face. It can take a couple of treatments to achieve this natural look, and can last up to 2 years, according to doctors. This is great news for Rourke and the rest of us looking for a long-lasting treatment and filler that allows us to age slower, and more naturally.
