Details about Accelerated Orthodontics

Also known as AOO, Accelerated Orthodontics is a fantastic teeth-straightening solution. It's a multi-step procedure, with a potentially painful recovery period. Just be aware that you may have to wear uncomfortable and rather unsightly braces for months or even years.

The surgery usually begins with brackets being placed onto your teeth You’re then placed under a general anaesthesia – So you won’t feel a thing!

The Procedure:

The bone surface around the gum and teeth is removed – With bone-grafting powder and a scratching tool.

To help begin the process of rebuilding the bone A Teflon (or stitch) is then put in place in the gum and carefully placed behind each tooth to hold the teeth in place.

With the bone now is in place, it’s softness allows for small movements of the braces which in turn have a big impact on the teeth – they fit your mouth perfectly!
