Unfortunately acne can lead to permanent skin damage or scarring, these are often known as Acne Scars, they result in the change to the skins texture, which can occur on any part of your body.
The size, shape, and look of the acne scars can range, some can be more severe where you’ll notice deep dimples and divots to the skin, as well as large scars which are raised from the skin’s surface.
It’s these changes to the level of the skin which cause the skins texture to become uneven.
Try not to worry, if you do have Acne Scars as they can be treated, but it is important to continue preventing new acne whilst still treating these acne scars you have.
