We all know it. No matter how old we are, we dread it. Acne. It’s caused by pimples commonly appearing on the face, back or the chest. It happens because hormones and oil build up – hence why it’s so common in teenagers. However acne is also caused by stress, this is mostly common in people who have never experienced acne.
There are two main types of Acne:
Non-Inflammatory Acne – Including black heads, white heads, and other spots called comedones and milla.
Inflammatory Acne - including pustules, papules, nodules and cysts.
Treatments are available over the counter or through your GP. Talk to your GP and they’ll be happy to help you with the acne cycle, as well as helping to remove any scars you may have from previous acne experiences.
