Details about Gold Thread Skin Rejuvenation

Gold thread skin rejuvenation – this procedure involves the use of surgical threads called 'gold filaments' or gold wire, inserted just below the skins surface to improve its quality, firmness and elasticity.

The method has been is use across Europe for more than a decade, although the use of pure gold as an implant goes all the way back to ancient Egyption times.

The invisible gold wires gives both mechanical support and trigger production of collagen and elastin fibres around the thread. New blood vessels appear in the area and the skin becomes supple, firmer, thicker with better blood supply.

Gold filaments can be used can be used where the skin has lost its firmness but is not yet loose in areas such as the face, neck, décolletage, hands buttocks and tummy. This can be effective up to ten years.

This procedure is not for the faint hearted nor is this cosmetic surgery procedure endorsed by the Royal College of Physicians.
