Details about Laser Neck Lift

As we age many people develop excess fat under their chin as the skin becomes looser and less elastic this is commonly known as a double chin. A laser neck lift can be used to eliminate the excess fat and wrinkles. Best results are achieved if there is still some elasticity in the skin and if the bone structure is well defined. It takes place in a number of short steps: firstly the excess fat is removed by liposuction and by making a small incision under the chin, this tightens the neck muscles and skin are tightened, secondly the platysma muscle in the front of the neck is tucked into a tighter angle to tighten it, lastly a carbon dioxide laser tightens the skin and removes the wrinkles, giving an overall more youthful appearance. A laser neck lift is relatively safe, as with all procedures requiring anaesthetic there is a small risk of an allergic reaction, it is also recommended that smokers stop smoking as smoking slows the healing process.
