Liposonix works by using a high intensity ultrasound to destroy any unwanted fat from just below the skin. • This fat is then transported by the body to the liver where it can be used by the body as an energy source. The results can usually be seen in 8-12 weeks. • The procedure is quick to perform, around 1 hour and you are able to return to normal activities immediately afterwards. During the Liposonix procedure you may feel cold or warm and tingling or prickling, so some women do say it is slightly uncomfortable. • Following Liposonix you may have temporary redness, mild bruising and swelling of the stomach area. Women should be aware that Liposonix is not a treatment intended to reduce large amounts of fat or to help you lose weight, it is intended to resculpture the abdominal area.
