Details about Mini tummy tuck

A mini tummy tuck can be used to restore a patients stomach to a flatter, more desirable shape often associated with youth. • There are fewer risks associated with a mini tummy tuck compared to a traditional tummy tuck as the procedure is less complicated for example the navel doesn’t need to be moved. • In a mini tummy tuck an incision is made, and then a flap of skin is folded back. • Any excess fat can then be removed from the area and the flap replaced and stitched. • Following a mini tummy tuck you are required to spend one night in hospital. • Recovery time is quick, although vigorous exercise is not recommended until the healing process is finished and no pain can be felt. • Following surgery the area will be bruised and swollen and you will be asked to wear support bandages. Support bandages help reduce pain and speed up the healing process. Women considering a mini tummy tuck should be aware that the result is only permanent if a sensible exercise and diet plan is followed.
