Details about Otoplasty, Ear Surgery

Cosmetic ear surgery, also known as otoplasty, is a procedure designed to treat common problems by reducing the size of large ears or pin back ears that protrude too far from the head.

Some cosmetic ear surgery patients are children between the ages of four and fourteen commonly because of remarks or even bullying that can affect the Childs self esteem.

There are many different types of surgery for ear correction, a number of results can be achieved whether it’s making the ears smaller, less pointed or pinning back ears, and depending on which procedure is being performed. Otoplasty typically takes about one to two hours to complete. The patient is given aesthetic while the cartilage of the ear is reshaped and any excess skin removed.
