As the skin ages wrinkles start to appear as the skin loosens and the elasticity is lost, is this a problem for you? Have you got acne scars form your teenage years? The pixel laser can be used to treat wrinkles and scars and improve the overall texture and tone of your skin, it can also make large pores smaller. The pixel laser fires a beam of light that is then split into little dots on the skin. These dots of light penetrate into the skin and destroy any old and damaged cells. The surrounding tissue is unharmed which means the skin can quickly heal and fill in the gaps that the dots of laser light have created. The procedure is simple and you can return to work immediately afterwards. The surgeon will simply aim the laser at your skin, the treatment time can vary any time up to an hour, depending on the area that is been treated. There is no, or very slight amount of pain. Unlike some laser treatments the pixel laser can be used on all shades of skin. The pink and red appearances that may be present after the treatment will disappear within a week. Normally the procedure is carried out monthly and 3 to 5 treatments are recommended depending on your exact skin conditions. Occasionally top up sessions may also be required.
