Ageing is a natural part of life and is particularly obvious around the neck and face. A quick lift aims to turn back the hands of time around the neck and lower part of the face. • The best time to get a quick lift is just as the skin starts to loose its elasticity so you are always one step ahead the ageing process. It can be performed on both men and women, usually those aged between 40 and 65 are the most common candidates. • The surgery will be performed by a specialist and as an outpatient procedure. You will be given a local anaesthetic and an oral sedative to help relax the body. An incision will then be carefully made in front of the ear then the underlying tissue and muscles are tightened. • This enhances the appearance of the jaw and upper neck by lifting them upwards. • The incision is then carefully sewn up so as to remove scarring after any excess skin has been removed. Sometimes other procedures such as liposuction may be carried out at the same time to enhance the final result. Generally the results after a quick lift are predictable and dramatic, erasing up to 15 years of someone’s appearance.
