TitleBitter DisappointmentProcedureBreast AugumentationHow did louisem find The Good Surgeon Guide?GoogleReview Writtenon 15 Feb 2012
All I can say about Harley Medical Group is I wish I'd never used them.
I had a BA in August 2006 - I was an A cup after breastfeeding. I discussed with a surgeon the fact that I didn't want my new breasts to be much bigger - I just wanted them back to norrmal a B or small C would be ample.
At the last minute they changed my surgeon - my pre-op appointment was with a Dr Ondrejka from Prague - I had to drive accross country to Manchester where I waited in a crowded waiting room for hours - when he eventually saw me he was obviouly running very late and I felt I was just rushed in and out.
He didn't take any 'before' photo's as I know now is usual and he held up some huge implants - I said no way did I want them that big - I don't want big boobs, I just want them back to normal.
When I awoke from my operation to my dismay he had given me huge boobs - at least they look huge to me - they are a 36 DD or E cup - I hated them - I just look fat.
I didn't want anyone to know about my BA and it made it impossible to hide. I did complain but they told me they would be smaller once the swelling went down - that didn't happen.
To make matters worse within a few months my right breast went a funny shape - I went back and he told me to massage it - it made no difference - I went back a couple of months later, by now my right breast looked flat at the front and realy ugly - he looked at me and told me they were fine - I said they're not fine they're disgusting - he just told me there's nothing that could be done - I went home crying and have just had to live with them.
About a year later my flat looking breast started to hurt - the pain is really bad at times it goes right through to my back and shoulder and down my right arm and it wakes me up at night -
I've been back and forth to my doctors but to no avail - I had no idea what the pain was until I heard about the symptoms of leaking Pip implants.
I haven't managed to have a scan yet as I can't afford one but I'll be very suprised if my right breast isn't ruptured and hasn't been that way for years.
I now have symptoms of auto amune dificiency - extreme tiredness, frequent flu symptoms, night sweats, heart palpitations, aching joints, sinus trouble and really bad Tinitus.
I can't afford to do anything about it, I've been waiting for 5 weeks for HMG to send me my notes and I'd be terrified to go back to them again anyway!
