Adrian Richards carried out my Removal and Replacement of PIP's in February last year. I did a lot of research before booking my appointment and I know I chose the best man for the job.
From the moment I met Adrian and his team, I was put at ease ~ they understood the problems that us PIP ladies had and were so helpful and informative. There was no pressure from them to make an immediate decision re surgery and sizing.
I had my op at the Shelbourne, who were fabulous ~ very caring and looked after me so well.
I can't recommend Aurora, Adrian and his team more highly. So professional, kind and caring and I am so happy with my results. I just wish I had found them before I had my original surgery as they would have certainly been my first choice.
“Choosing Mr Richards was the best decision I have ever made”
I originally had BA with Harley Medical Group in 2004 and after feeling ill for a long time and noticing a change in my breast shape I contacted them for help. I got nowhere. At the end of December 2011 when the PIP scandal broke I became terrified and realised that this could quite possibly be the cause of my symptoms and unexplained illness. I was told by Harley medical that my implants were fine and they would help me no further unless I paid nearly £5000, my GP ssaid I was over reacting, the breast clinic that scanned me said they were perfect and I should leave well alone. My gut told me otherwise. After days of trawling the internet I stumbled acroos the Aurora Clinics website, I watched lots of videos and decided I would give them a call. From the moment Sally answered the phone I realised these people were kind, caring and understanding. I arranged to see Mr Richards within the next couple of weeks and I was overwhelmed by the difference in care that I had previously received from my original clinic. Mr Richards made me feel very at ease, answered all my questions and explained the differences between the implants and the benefits that his chosen one would have for me. I didn't feel rushed or like a nuisance anymore, someone actually understood how scared I was for once. I went home and decided that Mr Richards was going to do my replacement surgery. I had mt surgery on the 13th March 2012 and I am absolutely amazed at the results and the care I am receiving. Nothing is too much trouble! Mr Richards also corrected the scars from my previous BA which were bodged, he closed the huge gap so I now have a lovely cleavage and most importantly he took away my horrible pips and cleared out all the gel bleed. My scars are amazing, you wouldn't think they were only 4 weeks old, they look fantastic! I feel so much better and my confidence is booming again! I have recommended many others in this short space of time, three of them have now had there surgery too and like me are ecstatic with the results and care provided. Finding Mr Richards was the best thing I ever did and I can smile again now and put the past few traumatic years behind me. Thank you Mr Richards and thank you Aurora clinics!
“Fantastic care & result”
After finding out in the press I had PIP implants which I had done at HMG, I decided I wanted them replaced ASAP even though I'd had them less than 4 years. I had heard good things about Aurora and Mr Richards and liked the fact he was very pro-active regarding the PIP scandal, with lots of info and videos on their website. I booked a consultation and I was very impressed, he answered all my questions, he is very calm and approachable, there was no pressure to book or hand over money, very professional, a completely different experience that I had with HMG for my original op. I booked in for 10 days later, the staff at The Paddocks answered all my questions quickly when I phoned up, I cannot fault them. The op went very well and hospital staff were lovely and the result was fantastic, just what I wanted, natural looking breasts that were the same size. I would definitely recommend Aurora and Mr Richards.
“Removed PIP's and may have saved my life”
I am writing just to thank you, Mr Richards and everyone who has been so incredibly supportive and helpful at the Aurora Clinic
regarding the removal and replacement of my PIP implants.
I had my operation yesterday and was very impressed with the facilities and the staff at the Shelbourne hospital from the gentleman who was on reception at 6.45(!) yesterday morning to all the nursing and medical staff. I must say that after being subject to a large amount of misinformation and evasion for my original clinic, it was so refreshing to be treated with respect and concern during what has been a very worrying time.
I have felt listened too, informed and supported from the moment i made the first call to yourselves and have recommended
your clinic to a number of friends of mine who are also in same position with the same clinic.
To anyone else in my position whether they have had symptoms or not i would fully agree that the implants need to be removed. Having not had any symptoms but for personal reasons (i.e. emigrating to North America) i wanted to remove the uncertainty created by the PIP
implants, so I was completely shocked by the condition of one of the implants when i saw it. It had deteriorated to the point where the silicone was cloudy and yellow in colour, which was made all the worse by the comparison of the other implant which was absolutely fine.
The fact that it had not leaked or raptured just compounded the concern that my original clinic's stance still seems to be that they will only act on proof of leakage or rapture. Anyway i am so relieved that this is an uncertainty that i will no longer have to face, and as said my experience was made all the better by the treatment i received at Aurora and its staff
“Amazing experience”
From the moment I stepped into Auroras Clinic for my initial consultation with Mr Richards I felt comfortable and at total ease. My consultation exceeded my expectations, Mr Richards took the time to listen to my needs and advise me what was the best option he thought would benefit me. My surgery went ahead as planned soon after and I was so nervous about the whole thing, more nervous than the first time around with the other company that did my first breast surgery, there was no need to be tho, the staff at the High Wycombe BMI hospital and Mr Richards and his crew were lovely and looked after me really well. The surgery was on time and went to plan and the results are AMAZING!!! Am thrilled with my new breasts!!! Mr Richards has performed a miracle here and for that I am truly gratefull, I could not fault one bit of my experience, even the hospital food was made to order and was very tasty!!! if you are thinking of having breast implants then look no further this is your man, you will not be disapointed!!
“3 years on still happy”
I had my breast implants surgery with Adrian Richards about 3 years ago. It really has been the making of me. Sounds silly I know but previously I was shy and lacked confidence, I am not saying that my breast implants gave me confidence but rather helped me be able to change the way I saw myself and the clothes that I wore. It made a huge difference having some one like Adrian Richards as my plastic surgeon because he questioned me thoroughly during our consultation as to what I wanted done and why. He really wanted to know my thinking behind wanting a boob job.
The results are amazing and I am so happy, I didn't have any complications, and I know a lot of girls who have had problems with their breast implants or the after care. I had none of these issues and I put it down to the wonderful team at aurora clinic.
