I had my first consultation with Dr Duminy back in 2009 through The Harley Medical Group, within minutes of meeting this fantastic gentleman I just knew I could trust him 110%. I had my BA and was so happy and at all times Dr Duminy put my mind at ease with his witty sense of humour and gentle caring nature.
Unfortunately it later transpired that I was one of the unlucky ladies with PIP implants but Dr Duminy wasted no time in putting my mind at ease with facts and upon confirming I had indeed a rupture he advised that I should have my implants removed asap.
It was at this point where I met a problem - in the fact that I did not have £700 readily available to fund an MRI scan to prove my rupture. Thankfully the NHS stepped in and did provide me with an MRI which also confirmed Dr Duminys' clinical findings.
At one visit back to the Harley to rearrange my removal and replacement PIP's I was flicking through my notes and was actually left speechless and tearful when I discovered an Email from Dr Duminy confirming that if The Harley Medical Group refused my free removal and replacement due to the lack of MRI, that he personally would fund my MRI! Now this email was not meant for my eyes and I never ever mentioned this to him but at this point my gut instincts were proved correct as he is a one off Surgeon who was generally concerned and took ownership of my predicament.
Because of the speculation and media coverage surrounding the PIP scandal I was in daily contact with The Harley Medical Group which I do believe neglected their duty of care and treated all their PIP victims in a horrific and inhumane fashion but Dr Duminy was in my eyes my saviour and for that I will always be thankful.
As we are now in 2012 and I have just had my 2nd BA I know that without a doubt in 10-15 yrs time when I'm due to go under again, I will in no doubt be in touch with Dr Duminy!

Dr Duminy was my surgeon back in 2009, throughout my entire procedure he was fantastic, at all times he is so friendly, informative and most of all 110% trustworthy. At no point was I nervous as his jokes and humour always lightened the mood. Due to unforeseen circumstances surrounding PIP implants I am due to go into theatre again with Dr Duminy on Friday 13th April 2012, not a great date I admit but no doubt Dr Duminy will work his magic once again. Dr Duminy has shown his professionalism and empathy towards myself during the entire PIP scandal, he took this above and beyond his duty of care when I became aware that he was personally going to fund an MRI scan I required of my PIP implants. At a time when my Government and Clinic were letting me down he proved that not everyone is driven by money. His work is fantastic and I would recommend him to anyone, which off course I have given that my best friend after seeing my results was booked in straight away for a consultation! If you are considering Breast Surgery and want a genuine gentleman who will treat you as he would treat his own Daughter and has a fantastic glowing resume then Dr Duminy ticks all the boxes!
